The American Home Surfaces Group (AHSG™) was founded in November 2000 as an alliance of independent flooring/carpet dealers. The current membership is made up of nearly 600 dealers representing over 1000 showrooms around the country.
Through the AHSG™, members can expand their product offerings and participate in supplier promotional programs. A growing number of suppliers like Daltile, Congoleum, Mohawk, Columbia - QuickStep, Mullican, Foamex/Future Foam, and others work through the AHSG™.
AHSG™ members are located in every state, including Alaska & Hawaii, with approximately 60% of the membership east of the Rocky Mountains. 60% of the members are traditional remodel/replacement dealers; 20% are major new home contractors; 20% are commercial dealers; and 5% are Home Center type locations. This majority of members are also Shaw Aligned.
AHSG™ enjoys the support of a 21 member National Advisory Board, made up of industry leaders. The Advisory Board represents the business mix; Specialty Commercial, Specialty New Home, Specialty Retail/Remodel and Specialty Home Center.
The organization is headed by industry veteran, Bruce G. Weber, President, and the Vice-President/General Business Manager is Amanda Hargrave. Headquarters for the AHSG™ is located in Roswell, Georgia, a suburb of Atlanta.
